In class discussion (Immigration)

Todays discussion was not as good as i thought it would of been. everyone would focus on disscusing one topic. Mainly the topic was about jobs and the process of becoming legal. First i think that immigrants are not takin the jobs from the lpeople that are here legally cuz if they really wanted the job they would go out there and actually look for a job. Obiously if the immigrants are getting the jobs then no one else is out there looking for those jobs.  Second the process is too much of a long term wait so i wounder why there is so many illegals here... maybe if the process wouldnt take so long there wouldnt be too many people here illegally. And last My point i tryed to get out there in the discussion is if the illegal children are forced to go through the whole education process of K-12 why is it that when they try to continue in educating them selfs they cant do so? Them illegal children where forced to go to school yet when it comes to college they cant continue on in their educations. But like Jose said the discussion was just the same things over and over again everyone just kept going back to the same discussion and it would get no where.

SANDS POINT, N.Y. - A 25-room mansion some scholars believe inspired "The Great Gatsby" is to be razed for a subdivision.
Randy Bond, village clerk in Sands Point on New York's Long Island, says it will be replaced by five houses priced at $10 million each. The location faces the Long Island Sound.
Some F. Scott Fitzgerald experts believe the author used the sprawling 1902 property as a model for the home of character Daisy Buchanan, though the current owner believes the mansion's "Gatsby" link has been overstated.
David Brodsky says his family bought it in 2004, but says the house is beyond repair.
Historians tell Newsday, which reported the deal Sunday, that hundreds of the mansions have been lost in the past 50 years because of rising taxes and maintenance costs.

Health Care Discussion Reflection

I myself thought that the discussion was entertaining watching to see what everyone had to say. I myself didn’t talk much because I couldn’t really find a way to interrupt or get into it even though I probably had something to say. I’m not much of a loud speaker. I’d rather keep things to myself most of the time. For the people that like to give their opinions about everything this class discussion would be very intriguing. Everyone had something they could say about at least one of the topics that were brought up during the discussion. I didn’t say much but apparently when I was called on I think I made up for all the time that I didn’t talk. (: many people had good discussions and good points for what they were trying to through to the others. But overall the class discussion was good for it being the first in my point of view.
